Sneak peek: Joey's 2-year pics

Yesterday we ventured out to the beautiful Mayfield Park to do Joey's 2-year pictures. The photographer is a friend of mine from playgroup who is just venturing into the photography business but is really talented with a camera. She has not had a chance to edit all the photos yet (I'll post them as soon as I get them), but did send me some to tide me over. This one is a personal favorite of mine...

I had planned on doing 6-month photos for Owen, but then I remembered how limited Joey's 6-month photo options were since he was not sitting up yet. So as soon as Owen can sit up on his own, we're going to do a session for him and during the same session we're going to try (the key word is try) to get some shots of our two boys together and maybe if we're really lucky we might get a family portrait too!

Car show!

Joey's favorite thing in the world is cars. He loves cars more than he loves mommy, daddy, candy, etc. So you can probably guess just how excited he was when daddy took him to the car show last weekend.

Here is Joey's reaction as he walked into the car show...

Brotherly love

In the last couple of weeks, Joey has become more interested in Owen and is starting to play around with him (when he's willing to take a break from his beloved cars, of course). Here are a couple of cute videos of the boys interacting with each other.

Pay special attention to the last few seconds in this one...it's very sweet.

Here's Joey making Owen laugh out loud.

Happy (and busy) Easter!

We hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend! Ours was jam-packed with all the fun and candy a boy could want! Below are the highlights but many more pictures can be seen here.

We kicked off the weekend on Saturday morning with Easter bunny photos and an egg hunt at a local park.

Later that day we drove to San Antonio for a Maguire Easter gathering at Mima's house. Joey and Owen met the Caputos and Woreks who were visiting from Virginia and had fun with another egg hunt, a pinata and cascarones!

We were at home on Easter Sunday and the weather finally warmed up enough for the boys to wear their matching outfits.

Joey holding his Easter basket after a mini-egg hunt in our front yard. Note the chocolate around his mouth (M&Ms) and confetti on his shirt (more cascarones)...
