In the holiday mood!

Last weekend we bundled Joey up for our Christmas card photo shoot. All in all, the whole thing went pretty well. We won't reveal the picture that we selected for the card, but here are some runner-up photos that are quite adorable.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Joey had a wonderful first Thanksgiving (not counting the Longhorns' horrible loss to A&M for the second year in a row). This year we celebrated with the Tschoepes in Austin at the beautiful new home of Aunt Janet & Uncle Greg. It was the place to be so even Grandma Chao made an appearance! As always, the food was delicious and the company delightful.

Here's Jackie giving us a demonstration of Dance Dance Revolution (pardon me, it's DDR for those in the know). Grandma looks intrigued...maybe Santa will bring her a Wii this year?

Joey playing with his cousin Maggie.

Joey with mommy, daddy and Mima. Gosh, do I always look this worn down by the end of the day?

Grandma poses for the camera. And there's Uncle Eddie in the background!

Joey is loving on his Mima.

No socks for me!

Oh my silly mommy and daddy. It's so cute how they keep trying to put socks on me when they know it's only a matter of time before they come off...

Here we go. I'll start with the right foot...

Well, the right sock wasn't as easy to get off as I thought it would be so let's try the left...

Hmmm...maybe pulling the sock off with my little teeth will do the trick...

SUCCESS!!!

Joey home alone (sort of)

This weekend, Mima and Da came to spend some time with Joey. So mommy and daddy left Joey and went to our very first football game of the season (which also happened to be the very last home game of the year). We had a great time tailgating, catching up with friends, and of course enjoying the Horns' big win over Tech. But we definitely missed Joey a lot too. We can't wait to take him to his first football game next season!

Mima and Da playing with Joey. Of course he was decked out in burnt orange for gameday!

Oops, Da forgot to pose for this shot. We think there was a big play happening during whatever game was on TV.

Ashley and Belinda dropped by our house to say hi to Joey on their way back to Dallas. Joey sure looked happy to be hanging with the ladies, don't you think?

Uh-oh!

We had our first baby item casualty this weekend. Joey had gotten into a cute little habit of looking over at his Year of the Pig piggy bank after every nap so we'd always walk over so he could touch the little snout. On this particular day, I looked away for one second and next thing I know, this little piggy was on the floor:

In some miscellaneous updates, Joey received a package in the mail from Uncle Kevin and Aunt Laura (also his godparents). So we decided to let him have a go at the gift box - some good practice for the upcoming holiday season. It looks like he's already got the hang of opening gifts with a smile on his face!

Also, we've discovered Joey's sweet little ticklish spot. It just makes him giggle like crazy when you tickle him there so naturally we've been taking advantage of it as much as possible.
