Weekend fun

We didn't have any big plans this weekend but the weather was beautiful and Mima came up for a last-minute visit so it was a great time! Here are a few random shots from the past few days...

Grandma is begging Joey for a piece of his turkey - will he share? Probably not...

We usually watch Wheel of Fortune during dinner (can you believe it's Grandma's favorite show) and we've noticed that Joey really likes it too, especially when the wheel is spinning. Big money!

I may be going a little overboard with coordinating Joey and daddy's outfits. This weekend Joey put on his new patchwork shorts so I thought it would be cute if daddy wore his plaid shorts.

Just cruisin' along...

Joey is a major cruiser these days. We can basically put him up against any object strong enough to hold his weight and he will cruise along as far as he can. Every once in awhile he gets brave and will let go for a second before he gets his senses back and decides that he probably should hang on. Here are a couple of videos of Joey cruising around the house today.

Waterbaby

Joey started his Waterbabies class in January and this week was his fourth class. We go to class every Saturday morning at 8:30a.m. and Joey is always eager to get in the pool as soon as we arrive.

Ahhhh....finally some peaceful floating in the nice warm water.

This week Joey went underwater for 1 second. Looks like he enjoys it!

Valentine cuties

The guys humored mommy yesterday by dressing up in their matching "daddy and me" shirts. What a great Valentine's treat for me! The shirts are actually from different stores - I had already bought Brian's shirt and then when I walked into a kid's store and saw the same pattern, I knew I had to have it for Joey. You'll also notice that they are both wearing corduroy pants too. Joey is going to grow up and be just like daddy!

Happy Chinese New Year!

Happy Chinese New Year to everyone! Today is the first day of the 'Year of the Rat'. To celebrate, we dressed Joey up in a traditional Chinese outfit that Grandma bought for him. He really didn't like wearing it since it was too big and he couldn't find his hands or feet, but it was too cute not to document. Plus since it's so big, he'll be able to wear it again next year and maybe even the year after that! Come on, this stuff never goes out of style. Pay special attention to the faux long braid in the back!
