Joey celebrated his 2nd birthday today! To make the day extra fun, we hosted a playgroup at our house so that Joey could run around with all of his little buddies. At the end of the playgroup, mommy discovered that Joey had sneakily licked the icing off 3 birthday cupcakes - I guess that would explain the high-pitched screaming, crazy giggling fits and running around the house like Macaulay Culkin in Home Alone that we experienced all day.

Cousin Scott came to the playgroup too! Actually, he was really at our house to pick up Grandma and take her to Dallas. But he stayed awhile to say hello to Owen.
Joey had a birthday dinner at Red Robin. The best part was that it was kids eat free night!
Before bedtime we marked Joey's height on a wall in his room.

Ohhh, he's so cute! I'm going to cry. I miss you guys so much! I still have the SMS on my old phone from Brian saying that you were safely at the hospital and happily drugged waiting for little Joey. Give that big boy a happy birthday hug for me. - Mary :)
